Theyve been around since 1986.in 1994 epitaph released Smash.in 84 off spring paid to release their own single, baghdad, but they couldn't afford the extra money to paste the sleeves together. so they bought a crate of beer and some glue stix, and held a party.in 1992, epitaph released ignition, 12short energetic songs.After the success of smash, new fans discovered ignition when it reappeared in shops. they released their self titled album the offspring in 1995, from their own label, NITRO. in 1996 offspring signed with columbia after arguments with epitaph.Their next album ixnay on the hombre was released february 1997. Offspring track will appear on the FACULTY SOUNDTRACK.The faculty, the columbia/sonymusic soundtrax album from the great new film features "the kids aren't allright"by the offspring, from their new album AMERICANA. which although has some spectacular tracks, is nowhere near as good as their previous album, SMASH, or IXNAY ON THE HOMBRE.
